Ingredient Tips: Kaffir Lime Leaves
July 22, 2014

Those who have tasted Thai red curry may notice a tint of sweet and sour fragrant. This particular smell comes from kaffir lime leaves, or in Thai baima grood. Kaffir lime leaves are used extensively in Thai food, such as red curry, tom yum, and fish cakes, most of them are spicy as kaffir lime leaves’ fragrant compliment spiciness well. Thai cooks always tear them in to pieces, making the aromatic oil inside the leaves come out before use. Next time you’ve a chance on kaffir lime leaves, try it in your curry!
