TASTE OF THAI SELECT: Real Thailand

When you think of Thai restaurants a buffet is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. But Real Thailand located at 570 Bloor Street West in Toronto is offering just that. This restaurant has a long tradition in the Annex area having spent about 15 in business at 350 Bloor Street West near Spadina before moving to its current location just west of Bathurst in April 2015.

To serve students and working professionals, Real Thailand is offering their Thai buffet during lunch, and their regular full-service menu in the evenings. Their new location is surprisingly spacious and is sure to be a welcome change from many of the more cramped places in the area. The decor is modern, simple and clean.

The buffet had a nice assortment of Thai favourites including spring rolls, Pad Thai, fried rice, and a good choice of salads, sweets and cold items.

One of the most impressive parts of the buffet service were the variety of both meat and vegetarian items. Some of Real Thailand's customer favourites include: Pad Thai, satay, chicken wings and grilled chicken.

Real Thailand is a definite must-try for students, or anyone looking for great food and a relaxed environment. The buffet is definitely a unique twist that is definitely worth a visit. Owners Thongchai and Veera and their staff are super friendly and would love to make you feel at home.
