TASTE OF THAI SELECT: Siam Restaurant Thaï

Siam Restaurant Thaï is a large and luxurious Thai dining experience located at the Quartier Dix30 Mall located along Autoroute 10 in Brossard Quebec. Since opening in 2012 the place attracts both daytime workers from the area as well as locals and shoppers throughout the entire week. Boasting an enormous 180 seat capacity and even more on the patio, Siam Restaurant Thaï offers delicious dining for groups of any size.

Owner Ladi and his family have been running restaurants for many years, including the successful Satori Sushi Bar and others. When the opportunity presented itself to expand into final phase of the Dix30 complex, Siam Thailand was born. Under the tutelage of Chef Panithit who came from Thailand to develop the menu and train the kitchen staff, Siam developed their unique menu with both traditional favourites and some of their own Thai-inspired creations.

Papaya Salad

This traditional Thai dish looks simple but is hard to get exactly right. This version was served with perfectly cut veggies and just the right mixture of ingredients to give a variety of flavour. The sauce was a bit spicy and the veggies were nice and crunchy and very fresh tasting.

Chef Panithit's Tofu

A signature dish of sweet and crispy tofu pieces served with fresh cucumber and coriander, this unique taste worked very well with rice and had a bit of a crunch that was exciting to eat.

Siam Chicken Wings

Another dish that came highly recommended by the staff were the Siam chicken wings. Very crispy and served with a sweet and spicy garlic sauce. The sauce has a burst of flavour and the garlic is not overwhelming. Slightly spicy.

Roasted Duck in Red Curry

Red curry is one of the most hearty types of curry in Thai cooking. This presentation wish extremely tender duck served in the rich sauce was a great combination. The sauce came with lychee and pineapple which added sweetness to contrast the savoury flavour of the curry.

Sticky Rice

A traditional way to serve rice in Thailand, sticky rice is a great alternative if you are looking for something special. Offering a much more chewy texture than Thai hom mali (Jasmine) rice, this is a great choice for dishes with curry sauce since you can dip the sticky rice in and eat it by hand.

Cozy Dining Area

Outdoor Patio

If you're shipping at Dix30 or living in the area, then Siam Restaurant Thaï is definitely worth checking out. If you plan to come in Friday or Saturday night they recommend making a reservation. If you happen to work in the office buildings on site, there is a special lunch discount available so make sure to ask.

The food was great, the staff were extremely knowledgeable and professional, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was comfortable and upscale. I wouldn't hesitate to plan a lunch meeting with business associates, or a special anniversary dinner here at Siam Restaurant Thaï. You will enjoy your stay and definitely come back again in the future!
